TERAMO – Reconstruction work on the valley slope of Provincial Road 36, in the Saputelli area, began this morning. The road was damaged by landslides caused by last spring's severe weather. Once completed, this project will allow for the removal of the traffic lights that have been controlling the alternating one-way traffic for weeks, restoring full road functionality.
The project also includes a series of repairs on other critical sections of the provincial road network. On SP 34, near the industrial area of Bisenti, the slopes affected by landslides will be secured; additional work is planned on SP 365, also in Bisenti but closer to the town center. Another significant project involves SP 32, in the San Giorgio area and the territory of Castiglione Messer Raimondo, as well as the ex Vomano-Fino bypass, a strategic road link for the area.
The total funding, amounting to 186,000 euros, comes from the Province's maintenance funds. The authority also announced that two more significant projects are planned in the same area, funded by the Development and Cohesion Fund, aimed at upgrading the former state roads 365 and 491. Overall, the Province will invest two million euros over the summer to enhance the main roads crossing the Fino valley and reaching Isola del Gran Sasso, with the goal of ensuring greater safety and continuity of connections.
